doing research I found the affordable new marantz sr4500. any opinions on that? how does it compare to the competition in that price range? like the denon avr-1905? And what bookshelf speakers should I consider (total budget about $600.00)? Also, is the Denon DHT-485XP a good deal (receiver and speakers included) for about $450.00?
Thanks for any insight!

I read on the archives that there may be a problem with Lip Sync when having a Plasma TV. Since I would like to use it with the Panasonic PATH42PWD7UY I might be disappointed with the SR4500. Apparently the SR5500 would be better. Is there any cheaper solution to that problem?

I also found the VSX-1014 from Pioneer. It has good reviews and THX compatibility. It's in the same price range $400.00. It would be great if anyone could help on the choice I have here:
a) Marantz SR4500
b) Denon AVR-1905
c) Pioneer VSX-1014

I would like to use it for music (including classical) and TV/DVD/Movies.

Any speakers that would go with either one of them? (total budget about $600 to $700.00)

Thanks!

Of those 3, definitely the 1014 if you don't want to pay for the 5500.
