Video Up-conversion

Does anyone have feedback regarding the video up-conversion features offered on some of the new AV Receivers? Are there detectable quality trade-offs for this feature? I have always used multiple connections to my monitor. I realize that will vary with makers, I am specifically concerned with receivers such as the new Rotels and similar level products. Thanks for the feedback.

I wouldn't consider anything offering less than 50. But keep in mind, upconversion is something new that procucers are adding to attract consumers. If they are keeping the price the same, what are they deleting? Sound, IMO, is what should direct you toward a receiver. Sony ES uses 80 but is a pretty poor excuse for an HT receiver.
