"heaven crammed into a metal chassis." Hey Brad, do you know what the price is? I couldn't find anywhere. Also, do you know what zone 3 is? I assume you can have stereo in 3 rooms instead of 2 but how does that work? Can you listen to 3 seperate things? If soo then this receiver is the king of receivers. I just wish it had more watts, I saw a different one that was 170 watts rms. Would the 30 watts make adifference? Even if it doesn't it just sounds good when you can say "My stereo is 170 watts rms per channel." Anyways, thank you for your reply and that link. |

GeneN Unregistered guest | I know what you mean about the price. I'm actually looking for a good stereo receiver myself. Seems there's none made these days with adequate inputs including an on board phono stage and adequate amplification. I guess I could spring for a multichannel receiver with stereo bypass but that's kinda overkill. Any suggestions? |

For the price that Yammy wants for the Z-9, there are other - better sounding - products out there. I'm not anti-Yamaha, I've owned a lot of their products (and still do) over the years. Check out the sound for that price. Even in Audio, there is such a thing as overkill. Happy hunting! |
