Cannot finalize CDRW's Due To TCO

Hi, I'm hoping somebody could give me insight to a problem I have with CDRW recordings.

I use CDRW's to record Karoake before picking the best tracks to place them permantly onto CDR. Tonight the finalization process could not be completed due to a TCO error. I had to remove the disc to clear the error message but when re-inserted what had seven tracks listed as 0 tracks with 80 minutes remaining.

I did clean the disc and also kept it out of the machine, also leaving the unit on. Twice the TCO was able to be read (and disc played) but both attempts at finalization failed (received the same TCO error and indication of no tracks and a full 80 minutes left).

Never does "blank disc" appear as a message. And since the info was twice read I know it has not been erased.

This has happened before. I use TDK CDRWs on a Sony CDR 500. Has anybody else encountered this problem when recording Karaoke, etc.? I do use headphones to avoid vibration and feedback as much as possible).

Thanks for your help.
