Well, I've hooked up my new HTR5790 and reset my cable box sound setting from "stereo to "matrix". I now have 3 questions;
1.) Is there an on-line source or guide for the explanation and use of decoding schemes? My old Yamaha DSP 1000 was long on sound fields and short on encoding schemes.
2. The cable sound has a setting for compression(none-minimum-maximum. What is the setting for best sound?
3. What is the encoding scheme best suited for the cable tv?
