Does the 3475 have preout? You need that to connect it to a power amp.

What is your budget?

This NAD will add something to your sound.

Parasound is another good choice.

NAD and Parasound will sound better than HK.

Thanks. Budget is $400-600. Yes unit does have a pre-out. I thought sticking with same brand for amp (H/K) may be better. Yes or No?

thanks, gary

i need a new set of speaker and amp. want the sound system for both movies and music, but more for the movies. i like the movie theater type sound. my budget is around $1000. id like it if the sound can be herd even at low volume and night with cystal clear sound. i need some help with this. Another question is that currently i have a pair of bose 901 with a kenwood krv8030 also a center boston, what should i do with this set should i add a pair of back speaker, if yes which ones. if some one can help me with both the questions it would me greatly appreciated.

Ah Deepak, what are you doing? You know you can start your own thread instead of stealing this one.

Paul, if you are running two channels James susggestions are pretty good. But if you want to stick with HK there is a PA-5800 multi channel amp for sale over on Audiogon that looks really sweet as well

Deepak,

You can get a surround receiver like this Panasonic SA-XR45 which has digital amp section (new technology), and get this Axiom speaker. Add a sub and you have a complete set.

You might experiment with using the Axioms as fronts - if you like them more than the Bose, you can get a 2nd pair and a matching center. It was voted the best speaker under $300 - sounds really good for the money.

Infact, I like them better than the Bose.

For center and a sub :

I will first try to add m3ti for the back and see if you like it - if you like Axiom better than Bose, you can get a 2nd pair for the back and a matching center + a sub.

You will have a clear sound you want for $1000 with these. They cut out the middleman so they can offer more quality for the buck - they received raving reviews - you can check them out here (www.axiomaudio.com).

You don't have to match the company - I prefer the sound of Parasound amp to HK like this one.

or this one
