In this video, Haley struggles to take the perfect selfie until she gets a hold of the iLuv Selfy remote wireless camera shutter. Then things get a little hot and steamy, when the camera captures a little too much action.
The Selfy ecosystem by iLuv takes the phone case market to whole new level, especially for selfie lovers. The $40 iPhone 6 case (check price @ Amazon) includes a slide out stick with a single button that remotely controls the iPhone’s camera shutter via Bluetooth. Never again will you have an excuse for a bad selfie, and there is no need to photograph yourself in the mirror holding your phone. Those days are gone, as long you have the amazingly fun, iLuv Selfy phone case and its super simple companion, the optional $20 Mini Tripod.
The iLuv Selfy is more than a case, it’s a range of products that seamlessly work together. When the remote stick from the back is removed, the open slot is used to slide the case into a range of accessories and mounts, including the Mini Tripod. No instructions are needed, it’s obvious the tripod and case slide into each other, which makes for a very quick and easy mobile camera setup.
Even though I had a ton of fun with iLuv Selfy, it is not as perfect as it could be. Its Bluetooth connection can be a pain when it loses connectivity. To re-pair (Bluetooth) you need to hold down the shutter button for about five seconds, which is a drag when you’re trying to capture that spontaneous moment.
The iLuv Selfy is also a very good rugged case, but it’s a little thicker than I’d prefer so it can hold the wireless transmitter. I dropped my iPhone 6 many times on purpose and accidentally. In all cases, my iPhone survived without a scratch — pardon the pun.
With the iLuv Selfy case and Mini Tripod you’ll be snapping selfies like never before. Plus it makes it easy to line-up that perfect scene and snap endlessly until your phone runs out of storage. I had a great time using Selfy and would wholeheartedly recommend for yourself, or to give as a gift.
