Is the Razer Blade Gaming Laptop Worth It?
The Razer Blade has been called the world’s first and only laptop designed with the gaming world in mind. However, with a hefty price tag of $2,799 it can make even the most serious gamers think twice before purchasing it.

If you are wondering if the Razer Blade is truly worth the money, here is a look at some of the exclusive designs and features of this gaming laptop. This information can help you decide if it is really worth the investment.

Portability
When manufacturers try to cram in all the hard drive space, RAM, video memory, and other features that are needed for a gaming laptop, it can often result in an extremely heavy and bulky computer. The Razer Blade is extremely portable without trading in the power you need for gaming.

The Razer Blade measures approximately 0.88 inches in width, and weighs 6.4 pounds. Considering the extensive power this laptop has, the specs make it extremely portable and lightweight.

The Touchpad Placement
Laptops are typically designed with a tiny touchpad that is located directly in the center of the keyword. Gamers often find the center of the keyboard to be an extremely incontinent place to put the touchpad, and the Razer Blade fixes that.

The Razer Blade features a tiny touchpad on the right hand side of the keyboard. While this isn’t ideal for people who prefer to use their left hand, it is great for fulltime gamers who find their wrists are cramping after being placed in the center of the keyboard.

Internal Specs
The internal specs of the Razer Blade are unfortunately not as awe-inspiring. Gamers were expecting a massive amount of hard drive space, and a top-notch graphics card.

The Razer Blade currently features a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-2640M processor, and comes complete with 8 GB of memory. The hard drive stands at 256 GB. All of this is enough power to allow gamers to enjoy their favorite games, but nothing that can’t be found on other laptop computer systems.

The USB Ports
One of the most frustrating features of the Razer Blade is the USB port placement. The USB ports are placed along the left hand side of the laptop. This means people need to run their cords along the back of the computer to have them reach the other side, which can be extremely annoying.

The Final Verdict
The final verdict regarding whether or not the Razer Blade is worth the investment is that it depends. Serious gamers who enjoying having the best of the best will be sure to list this as one of the best gaming laptop systems of the year. However, the casual gamer might want to wait a few months and see if the price drops as they won’t benefit as much from all the bells and whistles that come with the Razer Blade.
