Sunfire Bows New High Resolution Series

HRS Series Raises the Bar for Price vs Performance

Snohomish, WA July 30, 2007 — Sunfire Corp., a specialist in the design, manufacture and marketing of luxury home theater goods for the custom installation and custom retail markets, announced an aggressive trio of 1000 watt, compact subwoofer models.

The HRS Subwoofers feature newly-designed High Back-emf drive units and Sunfire’s legendary Tracking Downconverter amplifier technology, which provides reliable and efficient operation. All three subwoofers feature Frequency Filtration Design (FFD) originally developed for the world’s first flat panel subwoofer, Sunfire’s SubRosa. FFD provides a minimum of 20% improvement in overall bass detail while delivering a more balanced frequency spectrum relevant to both music and movies.

Sunfire invented the small subwoofer and the new HRS Series now takes that proud history and sets a higher level of performance and design at affordable price points. The HRS-12 ($899), HRS-10 ($799) and HRS-8 ($699) are shown priced at MSRP and available for immediate delivery from Sunfire.

“Simply put, our new HRS subwoofers set a new benchmark for price versus performance,” explained Mark Weisenberg, General Manager of Sunfire. “We refined our award-winning designs and technologies that have made Sunfire the standard in high performance subwoofers, migrated our latest performance design, FFD, and wrapped it all in a stunning new cabinet with luxurious piano-type finish. This line redefines the ‘entry’ level for Sunfire.” Mr. Weisenberg went on to add, “The HRS Series is not only a significant improvement over the successful D-Series models they replace, these inspired designs raise the bar on what is possible in compact, high performance subwoofers.”

All three HRS models feature a 1000 watt amplifier with Tracking Downconverter technology for cool-running operation along with 50% more voltage than competitive models, resulting in higher output. Newly-designed drive units sport Sunfire’s famous High Back-emf technology for high efficiency and output. And all three come with FFD as a standard feature.

As the model implies, the HRS-12 employs a 12″ driver with a box size a 13.5″ cube and should be used in rooms measuring 400 square feet and larger. HRS-10 with a 10″ driver measures as an 11.5″ cube and should be used in rooms from 150 to 400 square feet and the 8″ driver HRS-8 has an incredible cubed box size of only 10″ and should be used in rooms up to 150 square feet. All three models are offered in a hand-rubbed 12 layer, high-gloss black lacquer finish with the HRS-8 also offered in a 12 layer, high gloss white finish to match with popular mp3 players being used as sources in media systems throughout the world.

Key HRS Features:
• HRS subs look as stunning as they sound with their hand polished Piano-like finish
• Frequency Filtration Design delivers 20% more detail for more natural, musical bass reproduction as well as advanced balance within the frequency response making the line more accurate when producing both music and movies.
• 1000 watt RMS amplifiers deliver 50% more voltage than the competition Tracking Downconverter technology for cool, efficient amplifier operation
• Newly-designed drivers with High Back-emf technology for high efficiency and amazing output capable of frequency response over 100hz allowing for a seamless “acoustic” match with a wider range of satellite speakers.

Sunfire will be exhibiting at CEDIA Expo September 6-9, 2007 at the Colorado Convention Center in Booth # 610.
