RTI Introduces the Next Generation in Control System Software

Leading Control Systems Manufacturer Launches Integration Designer, Further Enhancing the Ease and Functionality of Award-Winning TheaterTouch Designer Software

SHAKOPEE, Minn.–February 12, 2008–Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI), the leading control systems manufacturer, has announced the introduction of Integration Designer, the company’s latest cutting-edge programming software. Supporting all of RTI’s current products, including handheld remotes, in-wall controls, and control processors, Integration Designer is the perfect complement to the company’s complete line of control system solutions for professional integrators and their clients.

“Building on the success of our highly acclaimed TheaterTouch Designer, we are very proud to present the latest generation of our proprietary programming software,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “We continue our C2C commitment to the custom integrator by constantly improving our programming process through added efficiencies and incorporating a host of new features based on feedback we received from our dealers. Integration Designer provides the ultimate in functionality, flexibility and sophistication, while remaining extraordinarily easy to use.”

The successor to RTI’s award-winning TheaterTouch Designer 5.0 software, Integration Designer provides even greater functionality with several new features, including a drag-and-drop RS232 library. Programming is effortless with simplified IR routing functions such as simultaneous IR routing between multiple button macros and easy system macros sorting.

Straightforward IR search and edit options allow users to replace existing codes and provide automatic number assignments.

Adding to the already substantial flexibility of TheaterTouch, Integration Designer introduces three new color bitmap graphic templates for a total of 10. Each template includes an expansive set of buttons and backgrounds for customizing displays to fit the decor of any home or office.

Integration Designer supports RTI’s entire product line, including the award-winning XP-8 Advanced Control Processor which − when used in conjunction with the new software − provides the ability to program time-based events such as setting sleep timers for media sources and lighting.

The system can also program sensor-triggered events such as activating security cameras and monitors when a doorbell rings or a door opens.

Additionally, Integration Designer will prove to be a valuable sales tool given its ability to share standalone digital screenshots of design layouts and concepts with end-users.

Integration Designer is available to all authorized RTI dealers immediately.
