Protecodes Intellectual Property Management Tool Integrated with IBM Rational Application Developer

Ottawa, ON and Orlando, FL – June 2, 2008 – Protecode Inc., a technology company that focuses on software Bill of Materials (BOM) management and Intellectual Property (IP) determination today announced it has received Ready for IBM Rational Software integration validation with IBM Rational Application Developer. The Ready for IBM Rational Software program validates that integrations between IBM Business Partner products and IBM Rational software meet IBM’s requirements for interoperability and user experience. Protecode has also achieved the IBM Rational Best Practices Indicator distinction specifying that additional criteria beyond IBM’s mandatory requirements have been met, including improved safety and serviceability of the plug-in integration.

Protecode will demonstrate its technology at the IBM Rational Software Development Conference, June 1st-5th in Orlando, Florida (Ready for Rational Pavilion, Pedestal B).

The Protecode product resolves IP uncertainties by detecting 100% of external content in any stage of software development projects. The software works to establish IP ownership and creates a software BOM that shows the development and evolution of a piece of software, identifying all the building blocks and pin-pointing external contentXopen source or otherwise. A simple administration process allows an organization to define acceptable licenses and licensing violation behavior.
