Projectiondesigns New Action! Model Two Weighing Only 6lbs on display at CES South Hall 1, Booth 20336D

Ridgefield, NJ — At CES 2006, projectiondesign, the leading manufacturer of advanced professional and consumer projectors for business, eCinema and home cinema, today announced their new Action! model two DLPTM projector with optical lens shift. The first projector of its size to offer true optical lens shift. With native resolution of 1280 x 720 using Texas Instruments HD2+ DC3TM DLPTM technology and projectiondesign’s own video processor design, which incorporates Faroudja’s DCDiTM, the Action! model two offers true high performance SD and HD video at an incredible value.

Gary Plavin, projectiondesign President, shared: “There is great anticipation from our dealers for the delivery of our new Action model two. At its price and performance level, the Action! model two projector absolutely can not be beat.”

The Action! model two is a lightweight and bright projector bringing high performance home theater to virtually any room in the house. Featuring a sealed optical design with a precision ground glass 1.85-2.40:1 zoom lens with 0-100% optical vertical shift, off-axis distortion is eliminated. The Action! model two sets up in minutes and is suitable for table and ceiling mount applications.

The ultra-sleek projector is housed in a small and stylish magnesium cabinet, that also serves as a heat sink, and is available in a Maranello Blue or Pearl White finish — custom cabinet colors are also available at additional cost. The Action! model two’s packaging is elegant, non-intrusive measuring only 3.7″ high x 10.9″ wide x 9.2″ deep and weighs only 6 pounds.

Just like our higher end projectors, the new Action! model two uses our unique UniBoard video signal processing. All processing is kept on a single printed circuit board, thus maintaining signal quality, and preventing electrical interference. Gold plated signal paths and connectors ensure optimum signal quality and purity. These features combined with our new RealColor color management system perfectly track grey scale throughout the dynamic range, and the result is perfect video color reproduction.

Action! model two will be shown at CES at the LVCC, South Hall 1, Pixel Magic Booth # 20336-D
