NeoPhonetics Launches First Asterisk-based System to Provide Centralized Management Capabilities across Multiple Sites and Servers

Customers, Integrators and Resellers to Benefit from Unified Management System

TINLEY PARK, IL, and BOSTON, MA — (October 29, 2007) — NeoPhonetics, a telephony provider that designs, implements and supports custom VoIP systems for enterprises, today announced the launch of its Unified Management System for Enterprise Asterisk systems. The Unified Management System is an industry first — providing large enterprises with centralized management capabilities across multiple Asterisk servers located at multiple locations throughout the world.

“Like all of NeoPhonetics’ best initiatives, the Unified Management System was driven by customer needs,” said Chad Agate, CEO of NeoPhonetics. “Multi-site enterprise customers needed a centralized management system that simplified Asterisk installation and maintenance while also enabling advanced unified communications, call center functionality and VoIP monitoring and reporting. We didn’t find a user interface with these features for redundant, multiple server systems, so a number of customers encouraged us to develop it, and here we are.”

With Asterisk’s unique interoperability and flexibility, NeoPhonetics’ Unified Management System is able to provide simple, non-technical, rapid deployment and maintenance of Asterisk across large enterprises — allowing for automated, Web-based configuration and provisioning of Asterisk/Polycom installations as well as real-time monitoring of an enterprise’s entire VoIP performance.

The system’s core features include:

• Redundant, distributed Asterisk servers that deliver enterprise-grade call quality and performance for any size company with locations throughout the world.
• Centralized management of distributed telecommunications VoIP PBXs.
• Real-time monitoring of network performance and call quality.
• Automated provisioning of telephones, call routing and PBX configuration for rapid first boot installation and simplified ongoing maintenance.
• Advanced unified communications, call center functionality, and customizable, integrated business processes based on SIP, XML and SQL open standards architectures.

In addition to fulfilling the needs of enterprise customers, integrators and resellers will benefit from the Unified Management System as well. According to Agate, “Business development for this system is still in the early stages, as we have been focusing our efforts to date on perfecting the technology behind the solution. Now, we’re looking forward to lively and productive conversations with the VoIP community on where and how to take this management system for Asterisk.”

The Unified Management System will make its debut during Digium Asterisk World (Oct. 30 — 31 in Boston), where NeoPhonetics is exhibiting at booth D-1020 and also a sponsor. Additional information on Asterisk World can be found at www.digiumasteriskworld.com/2007/boston/web/.
