Today, AT&T Mobility and Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) unveiled Motorola Tundra™ VA76r, a rugged 3G clamshell device with a tough exterior that can withstand harsh environments. Perfect for those who need a durable mobile phone such as teenagers, outdoor enthusiasts and contractors, Tundra combines uncompromised call quality, optional workforce management tools, navigation capabilities, access to the Web on the nation’s fastest 3G network and AT&T Mobility’s Push To Talk (PTT)1 service. Available Jan. 13, enterprise and consumer customers can learn more about Tundra at http://www.att.com/mototundra.

Use It
Versatile and durable, Tundra is designed to withstand the most strenuous conditions, meeting U.S. 810F Military Specifications (MIL) for drop, dust, vibration, humidity, severe temperatures and rain.

“On the surface, Tundra looks like a nearly indestructible phone for contractors, landscapers and other tough work environments,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of Devices for AT&T Mobility. “But it’s also an attractive phone for a wide variety of consumers who are rough on their phones. Tundra answers that call.”

“Motorola has a long heritage in developing rugged devices that stand up to the wear and tear of work and recreation while providing one-touch connectivity to the people and information that matter most,” said Jeff Miller, vice president of sales, Motorola Mobile Devices. “Today, we’re pleased to offer AT&T customers the Motorola Tundra VA76r, with the functionality they need, such as navigation services and great sound quality, on the network they want.”

Hear It
Engage in crisp, clear conversations on Motorola Tundra even in harsh environments with Motorola’s CrystalTalk™ Plus with dual microphone technology or immediately connect to a single person or an entire team with the touch of a button using PTT technology. Tundra provides exceptional usability with unique features designed for workforce management, such as voice activation, phone book locking for call restrictions, a rugged antenna and keys that can be easily pressed while wearing gloves. AT&T Navigator1 provides turn-by-turn directions to new locations and is available with a 30- day free trial.

While Tundra is a great mobile phone for rugged environments, using PTT and finding your way with AT&T Navigator, it can do even more with text messaging, e-mail and Web browsing1 for information, news and video, all available at high speeds with 3G connectivity. The feature-rich phone also offers access to AT&T Music1 and a 2.0 megapixel camera to snap and share still images and video. Tundra also has 100 MB of available memory2 and up to 4GB of optional removable memory, and it can be paired with a host of compatible Bluetooth-enabled accessories3.

Track It
Delivering more than just rugged looks and durability, Tundra features easy access to AT&T Navigator and enables advanced location and optional add- on enterprise tracking services such as TeleNav Track™ and Xora™ Mobile Workforce Management tools to help users find their way — and their teams — more efficiently to help increase productivity.

TeleNav Track is a downloadable mobile business application that provides organizations in transportation, field services, emergency response, shipping and delivery, and utility services with a cost-effective solution for managing their mobile workforce and addressing critical business needs. TeleNav Track features include GPS-enabled tracking, turn-by-turn navigation, individual and team timecards, job dispatching, customizable wireless forms, bar code scanning, image capture and signature capture.

Tundra can also be paired with Xora GPS TimeTrack for AT&T, a Web-based solution offered by AT&T Mobility that helps companies more efficiently manage their mobile workers. With Xora, companies can track the location and activities of their workers in real-time, as well as use the Tundra as a tamper-proof time clock — thereby automating the payroll process. Xora has helped thousands of companies realize higher productivity and reduced costs — especially those related to overtime and fuel.

Plus, the Motorola Tundra has a multi-tasking operating system, allowing more than one application to run at a time. AT&T’s network also allows for simultaneous voice and data use, so go ahead, answer the phone — TeleNav Track, Xora or other applications will not be interrupted and will continue to run seamlessly in the background.

Additionally, Tundra allows workforce managers to lock the address book of the device, ensuring investments in your mobile workforce are 100 percent devoted to work.
