MartinLogan just announced the ElectroMotion C2 center channel which features the world's most advanced thin film transducer technologies–electrostatic and compact Folded Motion–establishing a new benchmark for price verses performance.

Designed and timed to coincide with the launch of the upcoming EM-ESL, the new EM-C2 center channel has a new, larger, low distortion Folded Motion XT tweeter with a radiating surface 40% larger than those found in their award-winning Motion Series products.

Priced at $799.95 each (US), the powerful EM-C2 center channel provides a detailed, articulate, and authoritative center channel audio presence. Sized similar to a traditional audio/video receiver the EM-C2 is designed to fit discretely within any standard audio-video cabinet. The EM-C2's perfectly balanced dual 5.25-inch high-excursion, doped fiber-cone woofers are seamlessly blended with the Folded Motion XT tweeter with a high-precision, advanced topology audiophile-grade crossover network. The EM-C2 is rated at 94dB.

The ElectroMotion Series also features convenient push-style speaker terminals, adapted from MartinLogan's award-winning Motion Series, with curved inserts that help guide speaker wire effortlessly into place. The terminal's rubber end caps are removable to accommodate banana plugs.

Availabilitly
The ElectroMotion C2 are scheduled to ship in March 2011.
