MAGIX ANNOUNCES MOVIES ON CD & DVD 4

Burn DVDs from Internet Video, TV Cards, Camcorder Home Movies,
VHS Films, and Commercial-Free TV for Enhanced Home Entertainment

Miami, FL, August 18, 2005 –MAGIX, the market leader for photo, video, and audio software (1), announced today MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 4 for enhanced home entertainment. MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 4 livens up everyday TV and video viewing by restoring and preserving collections of home videos, favorite TV shows, VHS films, and video downloaded from the Internet. MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 4 converts all your favorite movies into high-quality CDs or DVDs to enjoy on your home or portable entertainment systems. Available in the retail channel starting September 15th, 2005, MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 4 is priced at $39.99.

THREE EASY STEPS TO BURN VIDEOS
Old video camcorder and VHS archives can now be part of the digital revolution in just three easy steps.

1. Import Video: to start, simply import the film into the program. Movies on CD & DVD 4 digitizes video from VHS recorders, video cameras, and TV (with TV card), as well as video downloaded off the Internet. Individual scenes are automatically recognized and stored as chapters.

2. Edit Video: TV commercials and announcements can be automatically removed with Magix’s intelligent TV Ad Disposal. Internet video and home-movies can be edited and spiced up with commentary and background music wherever you’d like — all precisely synced with the video. The included MAGIX Story Maker breathes new life into video memories for more exciting and professional looking movies with optimized image quality, 3D transition effects, fast camera movements, zooms, and much more.

Templates are included to allow you to create interactive chapter menus — or you can create your own special effects. Add animated graphical elements, text, and stylish backgrounds from photos with or without music — all according to your taste for that personal touch.

3. Burn Video to CD or DVD: Videos can be burned directly from your PC to DVD, CD, CD-ROM, Video CD, DVD or miniDVD in just one step. Double-Layer DVDs (DVD+R DL) can also be burned for up to four hours of video (8.5 GB) by using a double-layer DVD burner — which will save you money by using fewer DVD disks.

MAGIX Movies on CD & DVD 4 will be available in the retail channel starting September 15th, 2005 for $39.99 and online at www.magix.com starting Sept. 1st, 2005.
