Life|ware User Interface Now Available on RTI Intelligent Remotes

New partnership further expands homeowner access to Life|ware digital entertainment and automation systems through best-of-breed control devices.

Columbus, OH — April 1, 2008 — Life|ware and Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) proudly announced a new partnership today. Several of RTI’s innovative remote control devices can now accommodate the powerful Life|ware user interface. As a result, a homeowner can enjoy full control of the property’s Life|ware digital entertainment and automation system and connected components through an RTI device.

The RTI Universal Controllers now compatible with Life|ware include the T2-C remote control, the RK3 in-wall LCD touchpanel, the T4 wireless touchpanel and the recently announced T3-V handheld touchscreen. All four devices extend control of Life|ware systems far beyond television interfaces or dedicated Windows Media Center PCs, enabling homeowners to access their entertainment and automation systems and leverage the power of Life|ware wherever they may roam in the home.

“This combination of the Life|ware platform’s intelligence with the power, convenience and ease-of-use of RTI’s products will encourage the development of extremely elegant and versatile home control solutions,” says Steve Cashman, Life|ware’s vice president of sales. “The addition of RTI to our long list of best-of-breed industry partners is great news for our customers and dealers, and confirms our dedication to building the world’s finest platform for digital entertainment and automation.”

“Our Universal Controllers are developed exclusively for the custom installation channel, so this tight integration with the custom-friendly Life|ware platform will prove a huge benefit for our dealers and their happy clients,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “We are excited that RTI solutions will be available to integrators who are looking to extend and simplify their clients’ access to the Life|ware entertainment and automation systems that power their digital homes.”

The four supporting RTI devices will include a complete Life|ware graphics library and a complete trigger library recognizing IR and serial commands. They will be able to completely communicate with Life|ware to control devices or to prompt specific pre-configured scenes with one button push.

Life|ware will begin educating its dealers on the RTI remotes in April.
