New Jensen CD Head Units Focus On The Convergence-Savvy Audiophile
Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX) breaks new ground with an exciting lineup of new CD head units targeted towards the convergence-savvy audiophile. iPod, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, and MP3/WMA/SD Card readers are some of the features that will cater to any listening lifestyle of today’s consumer. Audiovox’s, Senior VP of Sales, Tom Malone notes, “With new features like the Medialink under-dash interface adapter for connecting external media devices such as iPods and MP3s, and satellite radio, Jensen adds new power and features that set this product line head and shoulders above the competition in quality and value.”
Leading off is the feature-rich MP6612i which offers the user iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, USB, SD card, MP3 and WMA. Malone says that consumers will not only appreciate all the convergence-rich features but will enjoy the easy-to-use remote control (included) with send-and-receive phone functions as well as the A2DP profile for streaming audio and dot matrix alphanumeric display.
The four other models (MP6512i, MP6312i, MP6212 and CD6112) also have technology-driven features that give the user a wide range of storage and downloading options plus completely redesigned cosmetics. Every new Jensen CD-MP3 unit has an auxiliary input to allow any device with “Audio Out” to be connected to the head unit. Most models are MOSFET powered for optimum sound and performance quality.
All models have remote control, and feature RDS which allows the user to see whatever data their radio station is transmitting, such as name of song, artist, etc., and have detachable faceplates for added security. (See data for all models below.)
