Offers Incredible Resolution and Image Quality at the Low Price of $79.99

Families, scrapbookers and cost-conscious consumers now have the ideal all purpose high-quality tool for scanning photos, documents and 3D objects with the Epson Perfection V30 scanner, launched today by Epson America Inc. Featuring 4800 dpi optical resolution for outstanding results, the versatile Epson V30 is the latest model in Epson’s award-winning consumer scanner line-up.

With unbelievable hardware resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi with 48-bit color scanning and 3.2 dynamic range and the same CCD sensor technology used in higher-end Epson scanners, the Epson V30 offers remarkably high quality scans and detail at an affordable price. Featuring user-friendly one-touch scanning options, the Epson V30 features four easy-to-use buttons to quickly and automatically scan, copy, e-mail, or create PDFs. In addition, the scanner offers four scan modes to accommodate varying user levels, from beginner to professional, including Full Automatic, Office, Home, and Professional mode.

The Epson V30 also features Epson’s exclusive Easy Photo Fix technology for one-touch color restoration, Digital Dust Correction and backlight correction. Consumers can easily correct photos with excellent results – all with just the touch of a button.

“Epson is committed to providing the best in high-quality scanning solutions to consumers and the Epson Perfection V30 is no exception, even at its economical price point,” said Grace Huang, senior manager, Professional Imaging, Epson America. “In today’s economy every dollar counts, and consumers can rest assured that they are in no way comprising quality for price with this scanner as it offers unbelievable resolution and quality for everyday scanning.”

Like Epson’s higher-end scanners, the Epson V30 has no warm-up time, fast scan speeds and lower power consumption due to Epson’s energy-efficient exclusive ReadyScan™ LED technology. ReadyScan LED technology enables the Epson V30 to use less power, with no mercury, which is inherent in traditional cold cathode fluorescent lamps, offering an environmentally-friendly light source for the Epson V30.

The Epson V30 adds further versatility with its robust software bundle, which includes Epson Scan with Easy Photo Fix for automatic color restoration of faded photos, ArcSoft MediaImpression for simple editing of photos and ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint Plus OCR for creating editable documents from scans. The scanner is compatible with popular operating systems including Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home/Professional, Windows XP Professional x64, Windows Vista, and Macintosh OS X 10.3.9-10.5.x.

At $79.99, the Epson Perfection V30 offers a value-packed standalone scanner solution. The Epson V30 is now available online and also includes a one-year limited warranty.
