Elixir Anti-Rust Plated Plain Steel Strings

All Elixir Strings Acoustic Sets Now Feature Innovative Anti-Rust Technology for Great Tone and Longevity

Anaheim, CA, January 13, 2009– Elixir Strings, pioneer of long-life strings, is broadening its Anti-Rust string product line at Winter NAMM 2009(Booth 5000, Hall B). Now, all of Elixir Strings acoustic sets feature Anti-Rust Plain Steel strings.

While offering the same feel and tone as traditional plain steel strings, Anti-Rust strings provide corrosion resistance to extend the strings’ tone life by three to five times. Elixir Stings Application Engineer Steve Rosenberg says, “Incorporating Anti-Rust technology into our full line of acoustic and electric strings ensures all musicians can take advantage of the long tone life that Elixir Strings are known to deliver.”

“Elixir Strings strives to offer all of its customers the best quality strings possible,” adds Rosenberg. “We received numerous requests to expand Anti-Rust plating into our entire acoustic line, which now has the same technology as our signature electric sets. The Anti-Rust plain steel strings, along with our traditional coated wound strings, extend the tone life of our entire set of strings, essentially making for more pleasurable playing experiences.”

The secret behind Elixir Strings Anti-Rust technology is its proprietary alloy plating that inhibits tone-killing string corrosion. The tone life of Anti-Rust strings’ exceed ordinary plain steel strings while maintaining the traditional feel and crisp, clean sound of a new set.

The expanded Anti-Rust Plated Plain Steel Strings are available at Elixir Strings retailers nationwide. For more information, contact your local dealer.

About Elixir Strings
Elixir Strings is the pioneer in coated string technology and is available in two string ‘flavors.’ Strings with ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating provides the bright tone and punch of uncoated strings, yet keep their lively tone three to five times longer than ordinary strings. The thin coating is nearly undetectable — providing the feel of traditional strings. Elixir Strings with original POLYWEB Coating also sound great three to five times longer than ordinary strings, have a balanced tone with smooth response, feel comfortably smooth, and reduce finger squeak. Elixir Strings are available in a full range of gauges for acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin.

Today, Elixir Strings are installed as original equipment by a growing list of discriminating electric guitar and bass manufacturers including Ibanez, Tom Anderson Guitarworks, Brian Moore Guitars, Carvin, Melancon Guitars as well as premium acoustic guitar luthiers such as Taylor Guitars, Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Lakewood Guitars, CA Guitars, Carvin, and Goodall Guitars. Elixir Strings are endorsed by popular artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Train, Dave Mason, Michael W. Smith, Jim Messina, Christopher Cross, Bob Seger, and Drowning Pool.

Elixir Strings are manufactured by W. L. Gore & Associates, the company widely known for such innovations as GORE-TEX Fabrics. For more information, please visit www.elixirstrings.com.
