Universal Dimmer Expands Lighting Control for Wide-Range of Voltages and Larger Capacity

ROCKLEIGH, NJ, January 27, 2009 — The CLS-EXP-DIMU universal dimmer expansion module is the latest addition to the Crestron Green Light family of environmental controls. The CLS-EXP-DIMU enables Crestron iLux integrated lighting systems and other Crestron lighting dimmers to add reverse phase type loads. It also supports larger loads and a wider range of voltages.

The CLS-EXP-DIMU simplifies installation by auto-detecting the dimmable load type and selecting the appropriate operating mode to control that load. It supports both forward and reverse phase type loads, including electronic low-voltage, magnetic low-voltage, incandescent, neon/cold cathode, or 2-wire dimmable fluorescent.

A single model manages 120, 230, or 277 volt loads up to 16 amps, and as many as five expansion modules can be connected to a single iLux dimmer channel.

The CLS-EXP-DIMU is wall-mountable, and is also plenum-rated for installation above a suspended ceiling.
