New Avalon Seating Boasts European Leathers, Multiple Custom Configurations and Options, and Space-Saving Zero-Wall Technology

CEDIA EXPO, DENVER, CO., Sept. 14, 2006– CinemaTech™, manufacturer of the industry’s finest luxury Home Theater seating, introduces the new Avalon Home Theater Incliner to its Act II line of theater seating at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2006, beginning here today.

CinemaTech’s new Act II incliner combines a luxurious viewing experience with more affordable pricing than is available in its premium Act I line of seating. Designed by Wolfgang Setz, a major contributor to the art of contemporary seating design, the Avalon unites Old World craftsmanship with sophisticated incliner technology.

The Avalon presents a classic European design upholstered in the finest European leathers. It is constructed with hand-tied heavy steel springs to maximize support, while contoured arms create a tailored silhouette. Packed with Ultra High Density foam, its leather edges are rolled and trimmed for precise sewing. The result is a seating experience uniquely designed to blend comfort, luxury and style as it elevates the pleasures of movie viewing at home.

The Avalon also features CinemaTech’s Zero-Wall Incliner technology. Zero-Wall is the perfect solution for Home Theater enthusiasts with big ideas and not quite enough space. Once activated, the space-saving, all-steel Zero-Wall mechanism slides forward to a lying position, while the chair itself can rest virtually against the wall, permitting installation, if needed, of an extra row of seats.

The Avalon shares other aspects of CinemaTech’s advanced seating technology, developed through years of hands-on experience. Additional features include a convenient Foot-Touch release to unlock the foot rest and incline the seat back; plush, extra-dense padding to provide more support without compromising softness; custom cup holders; and Valdalpone LongLife Leathers, an exclusive process uniquely able to protect without otherwise affecting the leather’s hand.

Hard wood is used throughout the new Act II model, providing long-lasting structural integrity without sacrificing comfort. The heavy, hand-tied steel springs minimize reflection, or bounce, while maximizing support and comfort. To insure proper placement, each coil is hand-tied to the others during manufacture, assuring owners of long-term comfort and durability.

The Avalon is available as stand-alone single chair, loveseat and three-seat sofa. Clients may also create their own configurations by joining Avalon seats into straight and/or curved rows using any of five different connecting arms to create personalized looks. The connecting arms include a straight arm that places the seats in a parallel position for direct viewing, nine- and 12-inch wedges that angle the seats in a slight arc, a double-width straight arm, and a 17-inch wide control arm that includes a wired touch-panel control.

The new Avalon Incliner is available now from authorized CinemaTech dealers at prices up to $3,400 per seat, when upholstered with CinemaTech’s highest grade of leather (representing the top 10 percent of all leathers available worldwide) – and under $2,000 for seats covered with Customer Owned Material or Leather (COM/COL). Prices may vary depending on the configuration of rows, and the selection of inner arms and other optional custom features.

The Avalon can be seen with CinemaTech’s other outstanding products in Booth 242, Colorado Convention Center, during the show.
