Axxess Expands Product Line for 2007

HOLLY HILL, FL, JANUARY 9, 2007: Axxess Digital Interfaces introduces innovative new products and product lines designed to greatly expand the in-car entertainment capabilities of any vehicle while maintaining all factory features and functions.

As vehicle electronics and features — such as GM’s OnStar satellite navigation system — become increasingly complex, aftermarket electronics such as radios and amplifiers can’t be installed without the loss of some factory-installed functions unless integrated into the factory system by means of digital interface accessories. Axxess’ digital interface products are engineered to integrate the largest number of vehicle applications with the greatest possible combination of aftermarket products to achieve any level of in-car entertainment system — from a radio upgrade to a sophisticated custom mobile multimedia environment.

Axxess’ new products for 2007 include those in the following categories:

Replace OEM
Axxess’ GMOS Series digital interfaces allow an aftermarket head unit to be installed in GM vehicles equipped with OnStar without losing OnStar functionality. GMOS Series interfaces also allow amplified OEM audio systems to be integrated into an aftermarket head unit while controlling audio inputs and activation.

Our revolutionary GMOS-LAN interfaces for amplified and non-amplified systems represent not only new products, but industry-first innovative technology. These interfaces go far beyond retaining the functionality of the factory OnStar system and other entertainment/safety features. They have a USB-updateable interface that allows each to be plugged into a PC to download updates directly from a special Axxess website (USB cable is sold separately).

The technology makes it easy to keep up with advances in OEM technology as factory audio, climate control and other systems become increasingly complex. By downloading upgrades as they become available, the GMOS-LAN interface line provides a new level of functionality for mobile audio system interfaces. As with our earlier GMOS-LAN models, the units retain the factory OnStar and chime system with the installation of an aftermarket head unit, and take over the function of the vehicle directional signal chime.

Keep OEM
The XIA-series interfaces allow the user to play an iPod, XM satellite radio or auxiliary audio through a vehicle’s factory audio system. Any two of the three audio inputs can be used. The XIA-Series includes three main interface modules — XIA-D01, XIA-I01, XIA-EU1 — used in conjunction with a vehicle-specific harness and audio input harnesses for a direct audio connection between the source and factory head unit for greatly expanded in-car entertainment options.

iPOD
Axxess iPod Auxiliary Input delivers CD-quality sound directly into the factory sound system via the CD changer port, without the loss of sound quality that occurs with existing cassette and FM transmitter solutions. Auxiliary devices such as a PSP, MD, notebook, video game console, mobile video system, MP3 player and satellite radio can be added to the OEM radio while delivering optimum sound quality.

AUX-In
Axxess’ Auxiliary Input devices feed audio from a portable digital audio source — such as an iPod, CD or DVD player — directly to a vehicle’s existing head unit for a high-quality, clear listening experience without using an FM modulator. Designed for the most applications and digital audio sources, the Auxiliary Input device can incorporate electronics, plug specifically into an iPod for connection to the head unit or include an RCA plug and/or a 3.5mm stereo jack.

Steering Wheel Control
New for 2007, Axxess introduces its new line of steering wheel interfaces designed by Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC). These interfaces are designed to allow the user to retain a vehicle’s factory-equipped steering wheel or rear seat audio controls when replacing the factory head unit.

Premium Line Level Converters and Noise Filters
The Axxess Premium Series of line output converters allow the installation of such line level input products as amplifiers and crossovers into stereo systems that do not have pre-amp level outputs. The two-channel ground loop isolators eliminate ground loop noise in the RCA audio lines of stereo systems with amplifiers, without the cross-channel interference that occurs in other isolators.
