Avocent Corporation’s Dudley Devore named a Top 75 Channel Executive by CMP’S VARBusiness Magazine
Huntsville, AL, March 21, 2005 — Avocent Corporation, (NASDAQ: AVCT) announced today that Dudley DeVore, senior vice president of branded markets — Americas, has been recognized by the editors of CMP Media’s VARBusiness as one of North America’s “Top 75 Executives” — a who’s who of the women and men minding the information technology (IT) distribution channels. DeVore was honored in the special March 21 “Partner Programs Guide” issue of the biweekly magazine that provides strategic insight to technology integrators.
“The 75 executives whom we’ve honored have demonstrated the deliberate, steadfast focus needed to grow both their own companies’ businesses and those of their loyal solution-provider partners,” says VARBusiness Publisher Robert C. DeMarzo. “They develop the successful programs that build business by effectively moving technology through the channel to end users.”
“It is not R&D and products alone that help make Avocent the leader, it’s the people like Dudley that give Avocent our leading position and market share,” said John Cooper CEO of Avocent. “We appreciate his leadership position in this company as we continue to grow into new markets.”
The “Top 75 Execs” list is based on information from IT analysts, sales figures, market share and accumulated knowledge. In addition to being published in the March 21 issue of VARBusiness magazine, the feature package and executive listing is posted to the Web at www.varbusiness.com.
