Stop and See the Music

MobiBlu's digital audio player is a bit confusing.

Digital audio players are shedding inches faster than Anna Nicole Smith. But their tiny displays can be hard to read. MobiBlu's 256MB, $130 DAH-1400 features a blue-on-black organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display that's more legible than an LCD. But in tracking 11 different items (even songs' file format) in playback mode, the display suffers from an overload of data. And the multifunction buttons were confusing on the unit I tried: For instance, REC starts voice recording in stop mode, but the button also controls play modes (such as Repeat) during playback.
