Smart-looking in an understated way, the all-black SyncMaster 153T has a narrow bezel and provides smooth tilt and height adjustments (but no swiveling). It also rotates from landscape to portrait orientation. Image quality was respectable, especially in our graphics tests. We observed pleasing (though somewhat dark) colors--including deep reds and blues and strong yellows. The one notable deficiency was the lack of detail at the dark end of the brightness range--especially on our gray-scale and color-scale tests. While the 153T offered good displays, we have seen better screen quality from 15-inch LCDs that cost a bit less.
The SyncMaster 153T is a fine LCD, but other models offer better performance for lower prices.
