Lenovo ThinkCentre M57p eco

Lenovo ThinkCentre M57p eco
Full Set Monitor Angle Angle

REVIEW

True to its pedigree and the "eco" in its name, the Lenovo ThinkCentre M57p eco ($1,373 direct) is a green corporate PC. It's got a few more features than most small-business PCs, making it a good choice for the corporate IT infrastructure, though I could see it in small businesses as well. A speedy Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor, incorporating Intel's latest 45-nanometer CPU architecture (code-named "Wolfdale"), powers the M57p, yet the whole system consumes only about 58 watts of power at peak. It's compact, easy to service, and has Lenovo's reputation behind it. Think of it as equipping your staff with Toyota Prius company cars instead of letting them tool around in big honking SUVs. Only the inclusion of an unconscionable amount of bloatware stood in the way of the M57p's earning an Editors' Choice.
