Edifier e3350

Edifier e3350
Full Set Speakers Woofer Top

REVIEW

The Edifier e3350 is an affordably priced 2.1-channel PC speaker system with a wired remote and an interesting-looking modern design. Unfortunately, the $100 set is riddled with ergonomic and performance flaws that make it difficult to recommend. The main issue is with the subwoofer, which can't handle deep, resonant bass at moderate-to-high volumes. Actually, the e3350 doesn't sound bad at all. Bass distortion isn't present on every song—mainly just in deeper bass tunes—but for a speaker system to be worth its salt, its subwoofer has got to perform, and this one misses the mark.

Bottom Line

The Edifier e3350 stereo speaker set looks snazzy and delivers well-defined mids and highs. But when deep bass enters the equation, the subwoofer simply can't handle it.

Pros

Crisp, well-defined performance in the mid and high frequencies. Aux inputs and headphone jack on wired controller.

Cons

Subwoofer stumbles on deep bass. Speakers not upward-angled. Left and right speaker cables are hardwired.
