If you saw the PC Notebook Lynx Pro LCD-PC at a distance, you might mistake it for an everyday liquid crystal display. It's actually a full-fledged PC: an LCD with DVD and floppy disk drives tucked behind it and a motherboard equipped with a graphics engine, Ethernet, and modem built into its base. The fully loaded Lynx Pro takes up remarkably little space.

Designwise, it's a gem, but the downside is that PC Notebook ships the system with few help tools. Its aptly named "Concise User's Manual" provides a bit of help, but there's no online documentation. Also missing are bundled word processor, spreadsheet, and fax applications.

There's no room for new hardware, but expansion options, including an IEEE 1394 port, two USB ports, and two PC Card bays are available.
