Eurocom LV220C ViiVA

Eurocom LV220C ViiVA
Full Set Monitor Keyboard and Mouse

REVIEW

The Eurocom LV220C ViiVA all-in-one PC ($3,176 direct) evokes the look and feel of a luxurious flat-panel HDTV. With its svelte appearance and a generous 22-inch widescreen, this stylish unit will be as much at home mounted on your living-room wall as in your office setup. But this conventional-looking exterior houses a powerful dual-core Windows Vista PC within. Though the system is (mostly) successful as a TV/PC combo, it's missing the graphics power and a few other key components I'd like to see at this price point. More important, the LV220C is outshone by its main competition, which also happens to be cheaper.

Bottom Line

Eurocom takes on the "PC in a TV" concept. It works on some levels, yet falls short on others. This would be fine if it was cheaper, but alas, it's not.

Pros

All-in-one setup keeps things uncluttered. Built-in NTSC/ATSC TV tuner. eSATA port. Bluetooth. Discrete graphics. Large widescreen display. Expandable drive bay.

Cons

Coaxial cable/antenna hookup requires (included) adapter. Keyboard and mouse feel cheap. A little pricey. Could use some more drive space.
