Like the four-channel FPS2000, the Cambridge SoundWorks DeskTop Theater 5.1 DTT3500 Digital ($300 street) has four standard SoundWorks satellites. But it also includes a much larger subwoofer and a bigger front-center satellite, which helps produce a smoother high end. Except at the highest volume, the DTT3500 produces transparent, uncolored, and only slightly bright output. It includes cables and stands, a wireless remote, and a flexible outboard decoder with optical and coaxial digital inputs.
