Acer P243W

Acer P243W
Right Angle Back Front

REVIEW

With its handsome, sleek lines, the Acer P243W ($499.99 list) is sure to add a touch of style to your desktop. Designed for the home user, this 24-inch monitor has a native resolution of 1,920 by 1,200 pixels, is brightly lit, and does an outstanding job of displaying small fonts. But it suffers from a few minor performance issues, including weak light grayscale reproduction and a washed-out bottom viewing angle.

Bottom Line

The Acer P243W is an attractive 24-inch LCD monitor that delivers a bright picture. Its handling of small text is among the best I've seen. Still, other performance aspects are not so impressive, and I was disappointed by the lack of multimedia features.

Pros

Crisp, bright image. Elegant design. HDMI port.

Cons

Lacks multimedia features. Narrow vertical viewing angle. Weak light grayscale performance.
