Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS 810

Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS 810
Full Set With Case Armiture,Right Side

REVIEW

When you hear the name Harman Kardon, you probably think of consumer audio and video products, not GPS navigation devices. That's because Harman's brands include names well known to audiophiles such as JBL, Infinity, and Mark Levinson. But the Harman Consumer Group is set to change your expectations with the introduction of three new GPS devices.

Bottom Line

Unique wireless control knob doesn't justify the Harman Kardon Guide + Play GPS 810's premium price. Competitive models offer similar features, without the knob, for significantly less.

Pros

Large, 4.3-inch screen. Multisegment routing. Traffic receiver integrated into the case. Useful wireless control knob.

Cons

Pricey. Takes too many screen taps to find nearby POIs. Bluetooth interface imports contact numbers, not names from cell phones. No instruction manual. Problematic FM transmitter.
