Logitech G51

Logitech G51
Full Set Controller Woofer

review

Logitech sells plenty of PC products in various categories, but speakers are definitely one of the company's strong suits. Many a home PC enthusiast has turned to Logitech for low-priced, sweet-sounding 5.1 speaker systems to rock the latest Call of Duty or Half-Life expansion pack. And now that Klipsch and KEF have dropped out of this market segment, Logitech stands alone with Altec Lansing and Creative Technology. The company's latest system, the G51, attempts to bring the power of larger, more-expensive systems like the still-current Logitech Z-5500 to one that's half the price ($199.99 direct). For the most part it succeeds, mainly on the strength of smart design decisions and a well-tuned, bombastic satellite speaker and subwoofer package. The G51 doesn't deliver the last word in sonic accuracy, but it's loud enough and fun enough for both game and music buffs to find a lot to like here.
