Mio DigiWalker C720t

Mio DigiWalker C720t
With Case Display With AC Adapter

review

Earlier this year, I reviewed the Mio C520, which, at the time was Mio's top-of-the line widescreen GPS. The C520 included a host of useful features such as an extensive POI database, multisegment routing, multimedia players, a Bluetooth phone interface, and text-to-speech functionality. The device also boasted a slick, revamped user interface. The only thing missing was live traffic. The company's new flagship model completes the package by integrating Clear Channel live traffic updates. But in an increasingly competitive market, matching the typical features just won't cut it. So the Mio C720t sets itself apart from the pack by including a 2-megapixel camera.

Bottom Line

Mio's DigiWalker C720t includes a long list of premium features, including live traffic updates, a huge POI database, and even a 2-megapixel camera—but it's not without flaws.

Pros

Large, 4.3-inch screen. 20-channel SiRFstarIII receiver. Searchable database with 12 million POIs. Multisegment routing.

Cons

Bluetooth phone feature implementation needs work. Camera is disappointing. Photo POI feature isn't yet activated.
