After reviewing the HP Photosmart A626 Compact Photo Printer, which was impressive enough to earn an Editors' Choice, and the HP Photosmart A826, which just missed earning one, I had high expectations for the HP Photosmart A526 Compact Photo printer ($99.99 direct). Unfortunately, although it's a perfectly capable small-format photo printer, it simply doesn't live up to the same high standards as its more expensive siblings.
