In the wide, varied world of wireless home audio, the attractive Mondo Mint Digital Music Station is possibly the most affordable complete package I've seen. It combines long-range wireless transmission with quality speakers for $349. Unfortunately, it's also saddled with limitations.

Bottom Line

The Mondo Mint Digital Music Station looks cool and sounds fine. But the system's limited wireless capabilities are frustrating.

Pros

Attractive design. Pleasing sound. Clean wireless audio transmission. Plays music from PCs via USB.

Cons

Wireless iPod dock can't connect to speakers independently. Simple remote lacks iPod navigation capabilities.
