ABS Ultimate X Magnum Extreme

ABS Ultimate X Magnum Extreme
Full Set Tower Angle Monitor

review

The ABS Ultimate X Magnum Extreme ($6,399 direct, $6,999 with 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor) makes its presence known when it's in the room: It's a huge behemoth of a gaming rig, with dual graphics cards, water-cooling, and a big honking case that can't be ignored. Thank goodness the system is such a good performer. It's a terrific power PC for the benchmark-obsessed gaming nut, but it may just be too darn noisy for everyone else.

Bottom Line

ABS has a kind of redundant name for its ABS Ultimate X Magnum Extreme. Yet the name fits, both in a good and a not-so-good way.

Pros

Speedy overclocked processor and DDR3 memory. Big case with lots of room for components. No bloatware.

Cons

Super-loud. Nonsealed water cooling. Pricey.
