review
The modestly priced HP Pavilion a6130n ($750 direct) has all the oomph and features found in a high-end multimedia PC, sans discrete graphics card. This desktop PC sits between HP's Slimline s3000 series and its high-end m8000 series in terms of both size and price point. Niceties such as 3GB of memory, digital card reader, removable hard drive, and DVD burner all contribute to making it a great birthday present for a creative child or hobbyist. It would make a good PC also for those branching out into digital media, as well as being a good home base for your camera if you're somewhat into photography.
