Visioneer Strobe XP 220

Visioneer Strobe XP 220
Angle Left Side Right Side

review

Visioneer lists the Strobe XP 220 ($299.99 direct) as a portable scanner, and lots of people will no doubt buy it for its small size and portability. I'd argue that its real home is on a desktop in any-size office. There, it would take up relatively little room and give you a quick and easy way to scan one or a few pages at a time for e-mailing, faxing, or converting loose scraps of paper into electronic format.

The Visioneer Strobe XP 220 stands out from the crowd by integrating Kofax Virtual ReScan (VRS) into the driver to enhance hard-to-read originals digitally.

Pros

Portable. Highly capable software bundle. Integrated Kofax Virtual ReScan digitally enhances hard-to-scan originals.

Cons

Sheet-fed only. Manual feed only. Limited usefulness for scanning photos.
