LG VX8700

LG VX8700
Front Closed Front Open With Case

review

At the CTIA cell-phone trade show last month, I said fashion, not features, would be phone manufacturers' major focus this year. LG's VX8700 definitely fills the bill there: Its cold, stainless-steel exterior takes the RAZR aesthetic and bumps it up a notch. With a brushed sheen that's brighter than that of your standard metal phone, it doesn't attract fingerprints and even seems to glow slightly. The VX8700 also has a key feature that should attract folks who want more printable cameraphone photos: a 2-megapixel camera, a step up from the 1.3MP models in most of Verizon's line. And 2MP is as good as you'll get on Verizon, if you don't count the overpriced, flawed Samsung SCH-A990.
