The majority of users don't need reality-bending 3D graphics or the drive space to store e-copies of everything in the Library of Congress. Styling, compatibility, usability, and convenience are much more important to them, and the Acer Aspire L310 ($849 direct) provides all of that in a desktop PC. Its small form factor would seem to make this system a shoo-in for use in space-cramped situations. But though it would work well on a receptionist's desk, there are a couple of shortcomings that keep it from being an easy choice as a living-room PC.
