The CES 2007 toys are starting to hit the shelves, and the Sony TMR-BT10 Portable Stereo Transmitter one of them. Basically, this device is a wireless Bluetooth stereo sound transmitter, which is fancy talk for a dongle. That's geek-speak for a little box that plugs into a jack and makes audio gadgets work wirelessly.

Bottom Line

This device will turn an Apple iPod or any music player with a headphone jack into a wireless device that can transmit to Bluetooth-enabled headphones and speakers. And the music actually sounds good.

Pros

Transmits excellent stereo sound. Lightweight and easy to pocket.

Cons

The range is not terrific. Overly simplified single-button design can be annoying.
