Neurok Optics iZ3D

Neurok Optics iZ3D
Angle Front with 3-D Glasses Back

review

If you take your gaming seriously, chances are you've tried at least one of those 3D-goggle or headset products that promise to put you inside the game. I have, and though I've been impressed by the 3D performance from products such as eMagin's Z800 3D Visor, a 30-minute session had me feeling as if I had just taken a few swigs from a bottle of cheap tequila: My head hurt, my vision was blurred, and nausea was beginning to take hold. The iZ3D display from Neurok Optics takes a somewhat different approach to extra-dimensional gaming, delivering sharp 3D images without the heavy headgear or unpleasant side effects. But its $1,299 (direct) price tag might keep you awake at night.

Bottom Line

Gamers will love the iZ3D display. This 17-inch LCD monitor delivers exhilarating 3D performance and works with many of today's popular action games, but you'll have to dig deep into your pockets to take the 3D plunge.

Pros

Very good 3D image quality. No unpleasant side effects. Good viewing angle.

Cons

Expensive. Poor dark-gray performance. Stand is hard to adjust.

Welcome to a revolutionary new dimension in LCD TV technology. With a depth of less than one inch at its thinnest point, and a contrast ratio of 1 million to 1, the AQUOS Limited Edition Series is the culmination of 35 years of Sharp’s LCD innovation. Unmatched picture quality, ultra-thin design, and low energy consumption: it will change the way you watch TV. Part of Sharp’s line of 120 Hz LCD TVs.
