The Cingular 3125 appeals to the heart, not the brain. It's a great-looking flip phone that feels solid in the hand, plays MP3s, and syncs easily with Microsoft Outlook. Its design is so compelling that I'm willing to overlook its lackluster smartphone performance.

Pros

Gorgeous design. Good screens inside and out.

Cons

Performance doesn't measure up to top models. Odd headphone jack, with no universal adapter available. No 3G or Wi-Fi.
