Cerise Mini PC Core Duo

Cerise Mini PC Core Duo
Full Set Angle Keyboard Profile

review

The Cerise Mini PC Core Duo ($1,232 direct, $1,637 with 20-inch LCD monitor) is the latest mini PC to enter the desktop market. Small, quiet, and powerful with the Intel Core Duo, this desktop can fit in even the most space-constrained rooms. The Cerise is a Media Center Edition PC without a TV tuner, so if you can live without the ability to record, this Mini PC makes a good computer for the bedroom or similarly minuscule environment.

Bottom Line

For those who desire a quiet Media Center system for the bedroom, kitchen, or den, the Cerise Mini PC is certainly compelling. If TV connectivity isn't all that important, this mini PC may be worth a look.

Pros

Quiet. Doesn't take up too much space. Comes with 12-month Norton AntiVirus subscription. Wireless networking.

Cons

No TV tuner. Only two USB ports. Ugly Microsoft IR receiver is bulky and occupies a precious USB port. Smallish (80GB) hard drive.
