Averatec may not have the most advanced technology in its notebooks, but the company is focused on getting you the best prices. The Averatec AV2260-EK1 ($1,079.99 direct) is one of the most inexpensive ultraportables on the market. Although its performance and features aren't as impressive as the competition's—and there is some stiff competition out there—you do get a full 1GB of RAM and a built-in DVD burner.
