Cisnet A7099

Cisnet A7099
Full Set Tower Angle Keyboard with Mouse

review

The Cisnet A7099 ($2,999 direct) is a gaming system that shows just how far PC technology has progressed within the past year. This single-card system achieves the lofty 3D benchmark-test scores that were once completely dominated by dual-card graphics machines. I'm not entirely sure if the A7099 could be called compelling, but it certainly bears closer consideration if your budget is in the $3,000 range.

Bottom Line

The best gaming experience you could get last year is now available at half the price; Cisnet offers a less-expensive alternative to the $6,000 gaming systems from other boutique manufacturers.

Pros

Dual-card performance levels in a single-card system. 4GB of system memory. Dual-core performance. RAID 1 for data drives adds to data integrity. Pre-overclocked, so you don't have to fiddle with BIOS settings.

Cons

No included software, particularly AV or security software. Other systems at similar price come with speakers and monitor. Somewhat loud.
