Dell Optiplex GX620 MT

Dell Optiplex GX620 MT

review

Dell's Optiplex PCs are a common sight on the desks of corporate users across the country and around the world. I recently looked at the Dell Optiplex GX620 ($1,535 direct, $1,247 without monitor), evaluating it from the perspective of the small-business owner. I define a small business as any company consisting of 1 to 100 employees that, more than likely, does not have a full-time IT staffer. The Optiplex GX620 line will feel right at home in businesses like this, especially ones with big plans of explosive growth but not much in the way of technical resources.

Spanning a wide range of processors, cases, and service options, Dell's Optiplex GX620 provides plenty of flexibility—and speed—for small-business owners.

Quiet. Available in different form factors. Dual-core processor. Dual monitor support. Support for growing businesses.

Cons

Dongle required for monitor connectivity (even single monitor). Choices (form factors, processors, and the like) can be daunting to the home office user.
