Verizon Wireless CDM-8945

Verizon Wireless CDM-8945

review

The underpowered Verizon Wireless 8945 makes clear calls, but its features don't measure up well against its competition's. Given its hefty price, we can't recommend this phone. The 4-ounce 8945 is moderately handsome, looking like a 3.5 by 1.9 by 0.9-inch slab of obsidian. The plastic case feels solid, and the hinge has a nice snap to it. Flip it open and you will see a thoroughly average 176-by-220 color screen and a keypad of rather cheap-feeling buttons with green backlights in the corners. A quick-access camera button, volume buttons, and the TransFlash memory card slot are located on the sides.
